A family kitchen, opened to the neighborhood

Homestyle Italian began with a handful of recipes written on index cards — a Sunday ragù, a lasagna built in careful layers, a tiramisù assembled the night before so the espresso has time to settle into the savoiardi. Those cards are still in our kitchen, and they still set the standard.

We cook the slow way because it tastes better. Pasta is rolled and cut each morning. Dough is mixed and left to ferment for two days before it ever sees the oven. Sauces simmer rather than shortcut. Nothing leaves the pass that we would not put in front of our own family.

Just as important is the room itself. We built a dining space that works for a family with a stroller, a couple on a first date, a table of friends catching up loudly, and a quiet business dinner — all on the same evening. Our team is trained to read the table and give each one what it needs.
